Drink & Draw

Join us for a fun-filled day of creativity and caffeine at the Drink Coffee, Draw Pictures event!
Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting out, this event is the perfect opportunity to unleash your inner artist while sipping on a delicious cup of joe. Mads Ellegård Skovbakke, a fluffy cartoonist/illustrator will be hosting these events.
Date: First Saturday of the Month
Time: 10:00 AM-15:00 PM
Location: Fays Passage, Guildford, GU1 4SQ
Bring your sketchbook, pencils, and imagination as we gather together to create beautiful artwork in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Don’t worry if you’re not confident in your drawing skills – this event is all about having fun and expressing yourself through art.
Whether you prefer still life, landscapes, or abstract art, you’ll find inspiration and encouragement among fellow art enthusiasts. Exchange ideas, tips, and tricks with like-minded individuals, and perhaps even make new friends who share your passion for both coffee and art.
So mark your calendars and join us at the Drink Coffee, Draw Pictures event. Get ready to indulge in your two favorite things – coffee and art – and let your creativity flow!
Writer’s Saloon
Writer’s Saloon is a free monthly meetup for writers of all disciplines to talk about their work, receive feedback, and meet friendly faces.

Hey there pilgrim – are you a wrangler of words, looking to put some muscle into your writerly hustle?
Grab your cowboy boots and join us on September 16th for our first monthly writer’s meetup at NewHouse Art Space. We’re creating an inclusive space for writers, to talk all things writing and books, with small feedback groups for the brave. Cool your heels with a cup of coffee from Frida’s Coffee House, and whether you’re working on a novel, a dissertation or a game narrative – we want to meet you! Free for all, no commitment, just a darn’ good time!

LGBTQ+ life drawing class

Come and join an inclusive and welcoming life drawing class at New House Art Gallery – open to all abilities
Come and join our fun, queer 18+ life drawing classes from 7-8.30pm, featuring LGBTQ+ models!
Basic materials will be provided (such as paper, clipboards, pencils, pastels etc) but bringing your own is encouraged.
We will begin with an intro to the space and the model, I will explain the prompts/techniques to try, give you some guidance and we’ll get into the creating! We will have a short break mid way (with snacks provided) and also time for sharing and socialising at the end.
The class is open to all abilities (even if you think you can’t draw – you CAN!) and our aim is to create a safe/brave and vulnerable space for us to connect and enjoy the creative process together.
